COACHES
We will have coaches on site for beginners and advanced players. Our coaches are trained to teach with ENTHUSIASM to keep your kids entertained while learning amazing new soccer skills! Coaches will include current HappyFeet staff members along with Coach Ben and Coach Chris for more advanced training!

Coach Ben
Founder of the Omaha Legends and Kansas City Legends alumni. Ben Baumgart has an extensive soccer background tracked full of club and collegiate success. Ben's mission is to bring out the highest potential skill level and leadership character in all of the players that join the Legends Soccer Club. Coach Chris
A former player in Major League Soccer with Kansas City Wizards and USL First Division Minnesota Thunder and Charleston Battery. Chris was drafted by MLS in the 2002 Super Draft as the 37th overall pick. Prior to turning pro Chris enjoyed an outstanding college career at Missouri State University where he set a school record for 67 starts in 68 games and finished fifth in all-time career points(53) and goals (20). He also ranks fourth in Missouri State history in scoring game winners (8). Chris earned Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) All-Conference honors three times and was selected to the MVC All-Newcomers team his freshman year. A Native of Omaha NE Chris was selected to represent the United States in International Competition while playing for MLS Project 40 squad in Holland and Germany. Chris joins the Legends Club after serving as the U17 Boys Head Coach at Shattuck St. Mary’s where he coached current MLS players Teal Bunbury (Sporting Kansas City) and Ben Sippola (Columbus Crew).

As a parent what do you want from competitive sports for your children?
The “Training Soccer Legends” program will develop tremendous creativity, self-concept, responsibility and leadership in ways that other more traditional methodologies can’t. In the process our players become elite, confident, well-rounded individuals assured enough to step up and lead responsibly when the situation calls for it. Most soccer programs fail to address this crucial aspect of character development. We will support children to dare greatly and make mistakes. As a result no risk will be feared. How Do You “The Parent” Benefit From Having Your Child Play For The Legends?
Good parents live to make their children great members of society. To do this we need to help our children develop a great self-concept. Long-term Legends players are soccer stars. Consequently they earn respect from their peers, coaches and other parents in the community. Sporting leaders are high respected in society. The special “Quarterback” role we teach guarantees self-conceptual growth. When you invest your time and hard earned money you want your child to experience something special, right? Great parents make a big investment in their children. Why would you make a big investment in an experience where your child won’t get treated fairly? Most premier soccer programs play unequal playing time, pigeonhole (position) players, use negative tactics to win games etc. These “traditional” approaches humiliate, restrict and use/engender fear in children. As a kid did you get motivated by being benched, pigeonholed and threatened or by encouragement, praise and creative teaching?
